"I give to Austin Health, to be used for the purposes of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre in the state of Victoria, the real property comprising ________________/the personal property comprising ____________ The receipt of an authorized officer of Austin Health shall be an absolute discharge to my executors."

"I give to Austin Health, to be used for the purposes of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre in the state of Victoria, the sum of $____________. The receipt of an authorized officer of Austin Health shall be an absolute discharge to my executors."    

"I give to Austin Health, to be used for the purposes of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre in the state of Victoria, the sum residue of my estate. The receipt of an authorized officer of Austin Health shall be an absolute discharge to my executors."  

The law provides strict rules on how Wills are to be written and interpreted. These rules may vary from time to time and may depend upon where you live or the location of your property. There are also rules regarding the making of provisions for dependents and family members. Therefore, it is important that you seek advice from your solicitor in preparing your Will.

Problems of interpretation and doubts about your intentions may occur if the language used is vague or unclear. This may mean that the person or organisation that you intended to receive the bequest will be unable to benefit from your generosity. Confusion may also arise when a bequest is left to an organisation such as ours but the correct name of the organisation is not used.
