The aim of the Cancer Support Group is to provide a friendly support service for cancer patients and their families and carers. If you have been recently diagnosed as having cancer, we invite you to join us at one of our regular, friendly meetings.
We provide information, understanding and encouragement in a relaxed environment.
Our monthly meetings provide:
- An opportunity to express feelings
- Communication & information
- Shared experiences
- Guest speakers
- Advice on how to cope with stress and anxiety
- A better understanding of cancer
- Mutual support
- Telephone contact
The Heidelberg Cancer Support Group is accredited and supported by The Cancer Council Victoria.
When: Our meetings are held on the third Monday of each month (except December) from 10.00 to 12.00 noon.
Where: in the Red Cross Building, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, Waterdale Road, West Heidelberg.
